Animal communication is a unique opportunity to speak with your animal friends and hear their responses - right from the dog's (or cat's or horse's or whale's) mouth!
I simply serve as a translator and sometimes a coach, helping humans and their animal friends work through behavioral challenges, transitions, and emotional issues. Your animal friends don't even have to be present to participate. In fact, other than in-person events such as those listed on my Where's Shannon page, most consultations take place over the phone. For the first time since I launched my practice five years ago, I have increased my base rate. As of January 1, 2010 the fee for an hour-long phone consultation is $90. In-person consultations are priced higher and vary by location.

Connect with your animal friend, even after she’s left her body
On September 27, 2009 at 12:16 p.m., my sweet baby girl Precious left me. Even though I knew her time was near, as my kitty was 18 years of age, it was absolutely unbearable to realize that she was no longer going to be with our family. To be honest, when she passed I completely shut down and shut everyone out. I was devastated. The pain was excruciating, and after two days of uncontrollable crying, my thoughts went to Shannon. She was the only one who was going to be able to help me connect with my Precious. I was disconnected due to the pain in my heart.
So I contacted Shannon right away and asked her to help me connect with my sweet girl so I would know she was okay. Shannon was remarkable. She was able to help me speak with Precious and my girl was able to help me understand, through Shannon, that she was ready (to leave her body) and she was okay and would be my forever angel!
Being able to communicate with Precious on such an emotional level was so important to my being able to heal. I would never have gotten through this without knowing she was okay.
Shannon gave me a gift of peace, which I would not have had without her. After speaking with Precious, I was able to heal a little. It’s still a very difficult time for our family and will be for a long time. My girl will ALWAYS be in my heart and I will honor her memory forever!
Shannon, what you did for me and my sweet, sweet Precious is a beautiful thing and I will be forever in your debt! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Prior to 2002, Shannon thought animal communicators had come down from the (metaphorical) mountain to grace us mere mortals with their presence. Then her communicator (who is now Shannon’s mentor) uttered these magic words: “You know, I teach classes.”
Next thing Shannon knew, she was on a plane to North Carolina. Seven years later (five of them as a professional communicator), she has communicated with hundreds of animals around the world – not quite lions and tigers and bears (although Shannon is still hopeful) but there have been plenty of dolphins and guinea pigs and snakes (and birds, horses, wolves, water dragons, goldfish, cats, dogs, trees, skunks, and many other fine critters).
Shannon still pinches herself to think that she gets to be a voice for some of the greatest beings on the planet: the animals. Her intention, whether she is serving through animal communication or energywork, is always to bring humans and animals closer together.
