Lots of people talk to animals.... Not very many listen, though.... That's the problem. — Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh
What is animal communication? Animal communication is just what it sounds like, communication between humans and animals. We all have the ability to communicate with other species but for the most part we’ve forgotten how.
How does it work? Communication is a bridge between all of life. And, as there are many different beings, there are many different ways of communicating: thoughts, words, images, feelings, sounds, smells, tastes, and so forth. I connect with your animal companion through my heart to receive what they are saying.
What is animal communication session like? At the beginning of a session, I’ll establish a connection with your animal friend(s). Then you ask questions of your animal companion and I translate their answers. If your animal friend is having a health issue, I can also scan her body and let you know, from her perspective and from mine, what’s going on.
Please note: While I can assist you and your veterinarian by sharing the information, including symptoms, your animal describes, I am not a veterinarian and cannot diagnose your animal companion.
What kinds of animals can you communicate with? It’s possible to communicate with any kind of animal. So far I have communicated with cats, dogs, horses, birds, llamas, elephants, goats, fish, whales and dolphins – and the list continues to grow!
How is an animal communication session helpful? My primary goal is always to help you and your animal companion come to a higher place of understanding. It’s amazing how much more meaningful and peaceful our relationships are once we establish communication.
In addition, a session can help with a variety of issues: health, moving to a new home, bringing a new family member into your home, household harmony, behavior problems, an animal nearing their transition time, you are interested in how they work with you, or you simply want to better understand your companions.
Important note: If you or your animal companion are sick or injured, you should always consult a qualified physician or veterinarian.
How do you work with people who don’t live near you? Consultations can be in person, but generally I work with clients over the phone. No you don’t have to put the phone up to your horse’s ear. (People ask!) Since I connect with your animal on an energetic/telepathic level, it can be done from any location.
How do you know you understand what my animal friend is saying? In addition to feeling the connection and communication, human caretakers validate my findings and animal clients frequently change their behavior as we agreed during the consultation.
How long is a session? I recommend a minimum of 20 minutes for one animal. If you’re not sure how long you’d like to talk, we may be able set an open-ended time and can continue the session until you and your animal are complete.
How many animals can I communicate with in one session? It depends upon the length of the session, but I’d suggest no more than five animals during an hour session.
How can I get the most out of our session? First and foremost, know that your animal companion is an intelligent, loving, spiritual being with a purpose and life path of her own! The sooner you understand this, the more you can learn from her.
Then, let your animal companion know the two (or more) of you will be speaking with someone and that it will be fun.
Prepare a list of any questions or topics you want to cover – just so you don’t forget.
Have paper and a pen available so you can take notes.
Last but most important, be prepared to listen and learn. The session is your time and money, so you can spend it however you want. But I’ve found that the more you listen to what your animal companion has to say, the more you will learn.
How much does an animal communication session cost? Sessions cost $1 per minute or $60 per hour and, as of January 1, 2007, I also charge for the 10 minutes of prep time I invest prior to any telephone animal consultation and body|energywork.
You see while our consultation may begin at 9 a.m., I begin my work at 8.45 or 8.50 – preparing to establish a strong connection and accurately relate what your animal companion is communicating. This prep time is the foundation of a successful session. Just as important, this change is a step toward being able to do this work full-time.
So, the fee for an hour-long session would be $70 ($1/minute for 10 minutes of prep time + 60 minutes of consultation time). A 28-minute session would be $38 ($1/minute for 10 minutes of prep time + 28 minutes of consultation time).
